About Us and Our Farm of Champions!!
Hawk Crest Farm is located between Jackson, MS and the Gulf Coast. It is owned and operated by Vaughn and Valerie Wilson. We’ve been breeding Appaloosas for over 30 years. But, it wasn’t until we were captivated by the event of reining, that we became passionate and focused about our breeding operation.
And yes, we are passionate about breeding the finest Appaloosa reining horses possible. We are passionate because we believe in and love Appaloosa horses. We know about their athletic ability, their gentleness, their willingness, their intelligence and heart. And, we love color. There is nothing boring about a pasture full of Appaloosas! Every foal born brings the anticipation of what color and markings will emerge!

| It is our goal to promote the Appaloosa horse in open competition among all breeds and to introduce the benefits of Appaloosa ownership to other horse lovers and reining
enthusiasts. The only way to accomplish this is to breed great horses. Our pastures are home to some of the finest reining mares in the country and a wonderful World Champion stallion. |
Luckily, we live in a part of the country in which we have nearly year round grazing on lush pastures. We make every attempt to raise our foals in the most natural and healthy way possible. To us, this means lots of time in open pastures that allow for unlimited play, exercise, and social interaction. And finally, when the time comes, prospective owners are given our honest appraisal on the future of each foal. Care is taken to match the right horse with the right owner. For that is the final key to a successful and rewarding breeding operation.
